We craft Arula jewelry from responsibly sourced sterling silver and 14k gold vermeil, both chosen for their durability and hypoallergenic properties. Sterling silver contains 92.5% pure silver alloyed with copper for strength, while our gold vermeil features a thick 2.5-micron layer of 14k gold over sterling silver—far exceeding industry standards for vermeil plating.
Every gemstone in our collection is hand-selected for clarity, cut quality, and ethical sourcing. We work directly with suppliers who meet Responsible Jewellery Council standards, ensuring transparency from mine to finished piece. Our studio team hand-finishes each item, inspecting clasps, settings, and surface treatments before packaging. This hands-on approach means you receive jewelry that’s been examined by the artisan who made it, not a factory assembly line.
Our necklaces come in standard lengths designed for versatility: 16-inch choker style, 18-inch classic length, and 20-inch matinee length. Each necklace includes a 2-inch extender chain, giving you flexibility to adjust the drop based on your neckline or layering preferences.
Ring Sizing
We offer rings in whole and half sizes from 4 to 10. To find your size at home, wrap a thin strip of paper around the base of your finger, mark where it overlaps, and measure the length in millimeters—then consult our sizing chart included with every order. Our comfort-fit bands feature a slightly rounded interior edge that reduces friction and accommodates natural finger swelling throughout the day.
Sterling silver naturally tarnishes when exposed to air and moisture, but regular care keeps your Arula jewelry looking brilliant. We include a polishing cloth with every order—use it weekly to remove oils and restore shine. Store pieces in the anti-tarnish pouch provided, especially if you live in a humid climate.
Gold vermeil requires gentler care than solid gold. Remove vermeil jewelry before swimming, showering, or applying lotions and perfumes, as chemicals can wear down the gold layer over time. Clean vermeil pieces with a soft, damp cloth only—never use abrasive polishes or ultrasonic cleaners. With proper care, our 2.5-micron vermeil plating will maintain its luster for years.

Yes, all Arula jewelry is nickel-free and safe for sensitive skin. Our sterling silver is alloyed with copper rather than nickel, and our gold vermeil uses a thick layer of 14k gold over sterling silver. We’ve had customers with severe metal sensitivities wear our pieces comfortably for years.
Our 2.5-micron gold vermeil plating is significantly thicker than standard vermeil and can last for years with proper care. Avoid exposing vermeil to water, lotions, and harsh chemicals. Remove vermeil pieces before showering or swimming. With gentle handling and proper storage, most customers enjoy their vermeil jewelry for three to five years before considering replating.
We recommend removing all jewelry before showering, swimming, or exercising. Chlorine, saltwater, and soap can accelerate tarnishing in sterling silver and degrade gold vermeil plating over time. Natural gemstones can also be damaged by prolonged water exposure and temperature changes.
We offer free size exchanges within 30 days of purchase. Simply contact our customer service team with your order number and the new size you need. We’ll send a prepaid return label and ship your new size as soon as we receive the original ring back. The exchange process typically takes five to seven business days.
All our jewelry arrives in gift-ready packaging at no extra charge. Necklaces and bracelets come in rigid boxes, while earrings and rings ship in reusable linen pouches. We include a handwritten note from our studio team, and you can add a personalized gift message at checkout. For an additional fee, we offer premium gift boxes with custom ribbon.
We design and hand-finish every piece in our California studio. While some components are sourced from certified suppliers who meet our ethical standards, all final assembly, quality control, and finishing work happens in-house. This allows us to maintain strict quality standards and ensure each piece meets our craftsmanship benchmarks before it ships.
Store each piece separately in the anti-tarnish pouch or box it arrived in to prevent scratching and minimize tarnish. Keep jewelry in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight. If you live in a humid climate, consider adding silica gel packets to your storage area. For pieces you wear frequently, a jewelry box with individual compartments works well.
